TFT-Milling Discs - Cutting and Grinding Wheels
TFT Milling Discs are designed for beveling, weld preparation, weld repair, opening weld roots, butt welds or fillet welds. Some of the clients that benefit from these discs are manufacturing companies doing work with aluminum, stainless steel, Hastelloy, and other alloys.
Milling discs are a better alternative to traditional abrasive wheel grinding and cutting. Their main characteristics include No Kickback, their lifespan extends into the hundreds of hours per unit. When they lose their sharp edge they can be resharpened up to 7 times by TFT using the same CNC machines that manufactured them.
One-sided milling discs are used for bevelling, leveling of welds, or general scrubbing (e.g. root pass cleaning).
Double-sided milling discs are best for opening weld roots, butt welds or fillet welds.

Welding Preparation Tools

After an initial lifespan of up to 500 hours, our milling discs can be resharpened up to 7 times. We do such at TFT-Pneumatic by using the same CNC machines that made them originally. Thus the quality and precision of a resharpened disc is the same as with its initial manufacturing.
