As part of TFT-Pneumatic’s interaction with Users and Customers, we knew there was room for improvement within our cutting and weld seam removal systems, specifically pipe cutting machines.
While speed is not necessarily as important as doing a certified cold work job, we knew it was something that mattered to us and to the end-user. A Focus Group was created with one thing in mind: Increase pipe cutting speeds while reducing kickback and wear and tear of the Operator and discs.
The process took some time, but after deeply looking into this matter, two alternatives were the top contenders. It was decided to launch both in the market. And although their capabilities did overlap somewhat, it was decided that having both options would give the users a vast array of possibilities to achieve the mission.
Pipe Cutting Machine
Pendulum Arm A-0410
The Pendulum Arm A-0410 is a clever device uses a magnet to lock a pendulum swing arm to the surface. It stabilizes the pipe cutting machine and makes the job easier.
It can be used to cut flat surfaces as well. It is possible to adjust how much force you have to use for operating the arm by tightening/loosening the screws on the arm. Adjust to make the Arm fit your comfort and the job at hand.
Compact Cutting Guide A-0420
The Compact Cutting Guide A-0420 track system uses a combination of a magnet with a travel track to guide the tool back and forth a flat surface. It excels cutting longitudinally on a piece of pipe, on a flat surface removing double plating or simply cutting deck or plate. The system is designed to soak up most of the possible kickback generated while cutting deep with the tool. System length 20”, cutting distance 16.5”.
